40 is no different to your mid - late 30s. It's only when hit your mid 40s that you start to feel different.
I was devastated about hitting 40 but now I'm 50 which didn't bother me as much.
50 feels like 40 should have so enjoy your 40s.

Well Dave that metabolism that helped you out in your 20s and 30s varnishes (like an old oak table), you'll see the fat start to roll on. The hair will get greyer and greyer until it resembles the colour of a lovable woodland creature. You'll moan more about the crap music today's kids listen to. Plus you'll spend more weekends at home drinking 'saving money' than going out on the piss- an idea which would've been preposterous in your out on the town and larging it up 20s and 30s...
